DOWNLOAD ´ A Terrible Day Tycho wakes up believing he's just destined to have a terrible day it's a list of little things that he just knows is going to add up from waking up. A lesson in making your own happiness when the world is conspiring against youTycho s day started bad the moment he woke up and remained consistent after that Breakfast partially consisted of burnt toast and spilt milk and he could even see Awful Day glaring down on him throughout the morning Tycho went off to school without his books and work and the teacher called on him when he did not know the answer to the math problem on the board Things continued to go wrong throughout the day but Tycho had decided that he was not going to whine about it and try to find some good within the problems He now realizes that some days will be a seuence of bad events and that is the way life is Tycho vows to not let it reach the point where he believes that everything will go wrong and there is nothing that he can do about it That is a very important life lesson The text is in four line blocks where the odd and even numbered lines rhyme and the illustrations are constructed using subdued colors with a minimum of detail This is a positive thing I dislike illustrations in children s books where the colors are extremely dynamic and dominate It is much better when it is the content of the image that catches your eye Children love simple rhymes and this book also presents a very valuable lesson about facing the day and working your way through problems I give it my highest praise I would have read it to my daughterThis book was made available for free for review purposes and this review also appears on
